Simple and Active

If you’re new to yoga or looking for something a little less intense this class is for you! Our easy-going flows are designed to keep you moving with simple and approachable transitions. Easy going classes incorporate pranayama (breathing practices) strength, balance, and flexibility with simple transitions between asanas (poses). Leave feeling stretched out and challenged with plenty of clarity and energy to go about your business.

We can help you modify poses if something isn’t working right. Pregnant students should consult their physician, midwife, doula, or other helping professional before any exercise routine.

A chair yoga class is a gentle form of yoga practice that is performed while sitting on a chair or using the chair for support. This type of yoga is perfect for individuals who have limited mobility, injuries, or who find it challenging to sit on the floor. The class typically starts with a few minutes of breathing exercises to center the mind and relax the body. Next, the instructor guides the students through a series of gentle stretches and yoga poses, all of which can be modified to accommodate the needs of each student. The poses focus on improving flexibility, strength, and balance, and they are done slowly and mindfully with a focus on breath awareness. The class concludes with a few minutes of relaxation and meditation, leaving the students feeling calm, rejuvenated, and energized.

The benefits of chair yoga are numerous and can improve the overall health and well-being of those who practice it. Chair yoga helps to improve flexibility, range of motion, and circulation while reducing stiffness and pain. It also helps to lower stress and anxiety levels by promoting relaxation and deep breathing. Additionally, chair yoga is a great way to build strength and balance, which can help to prevent falls and other injuries.
